Diversified Alarm Service (DAS) is owned and operated by the Daniel and Noreen Johnson family of San Marino, California. Danny is the second generation of a family dedicated to law enforcement and security. Danny’s father Daniel Johnson Sr. served with LAPD, before becoming a Deputy District Attorney for the County of Los Angeles. Danny’s younger brother retired as a Captain with LAPD, and currently serves as the Chief of EL Centro P.D. Diversified Alarm Service has been serving the greater San Gabriel Valley and surrounding areas since 1983. The family’s dedication to law enforcement and security dates back to the early 1950’s.

Focus

Residential security has always been at the core of our business.  We continue to improve our installation techniques and the products we offer our clients. The house is every generation’s castle and we strive to do the best installation possible for every job. By standardizing our installation procedures, we have managed to maintain a high level of consistency, quality and service that the large national companies cannot offer. All of our services and installations are done by Diversified Alarm Service’s professional staff.  We do not utilize subcontractors, which seems to be more prevalent in this day and age. Our motto is “We are only as good as our last job” and really are not concerned with just completing jobs out as quickly as possible. Attention to detail is the utmost importance which is probably why 95% of our business comes from our existing client base.

The commercial and institutional side of our business continues to grow with the rising challenges within our society. When a local security vendor could not fulfill an awarded RFP with a local water district, the utility company contracted Diversified Alarm Service to finish the design, installation, and monitoring of all their remote sites with a LAN based product. Most of our large commercial clients are relationships that were established in the early decades of our entity.  We continue to enter relationships with organizations that are looking for a company who’s priority interest is quality, value and personal service.
